The end of the year is upon us. Honestly, I felt the year drag itself out really slowly. There were many things that changed for me – new city, new role, new school for my kid. And through all this, somehow, this blog survived.
There were times when I was too burnt out to continue because of other priorities. Trying to get everything absolutely right was adding to the stress. But I am happy I persisted. The biggest change is, I am just more forgiving of my own mistakes. The lesson being – perfection itself is a journey, you want to get there, but know that it takes time.
Back to books! I started the year with the goal to read 24 books in 2024, and yes I made it! I finished 28 books this year and this makes it third year in a row. Its not much, but its enough.
The physical books in my shelf also grew quite a bit this year with me buying 20+ books. I definitely need to tackle them in the upcoming year.
I finished 8 prompts from the #readgoodchallenge, which was so much fun to do. I was able to pick up books I normally wouldn’t have. (More about the 2024 Read Good Challenge ). I am definitely doing the challenge again for 2025. (The prompts are out as well – 2025 Read Good Challenge )
The other selections were mostly driven by random pickers, or whatever was available in the library and also my mood.
